DMAAR Sells Out “Late Night”

Continuing its theme of “Late Night” with DMAAR, the Des Moines Area Association of REALTORS® (DMAAR) held its 49th annual banquet at Prairie Meadows recently. The evening’s activities, a highlight of the year for members, included dinner, cocktails, and entertainment hosted by Megan Hill Mitchum and Kyle Clarkson.

“The ‘Late Night’ with DMAAR event is always a lot of fun,” says Cindy Pelz, DMAAR Executive Officer. “It’s a chance to celebrate the year we’ve had and recognize members for their accomplishments.”

Awards presented include Circle of Excellence awards for volume of sales, units sold, and investments to RPAC (REALTORS® Political Action Committee). Rick and Todd Madden presented the REALTOR® of the Year award to Sara Hopkins, and Linda Westergaard presented the President’s Special Recognition award to her husband, Neil Westergaard.

“That presentation was a wonderful tribute to their partnership in business, family, and marriage,” says Pelz.

In addition, three Rookie Awards were presented to new REALTORS® for their accomplishments in 2017. And officers for 2018 were installed: President Brennan Buckley, First Vice President Jenn Clark, Second Vice President Lance Hanson, Treasurer Ted Weaver, and Past President Linda Westergaard.

The sold-out event featured presentations by Colin Panzi, Chris Moore, Lance Hanson, and Rachel Delzell, who performed before a crowd of over 600 of their fellow REALTORS®.
