The Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines returned to Urbandale this year for their biggest annual event. HomeShowExpo was held at Accurate Development’s Acadia neighborhood, showcasing six luxury homes built by six of the area’s finest builders.
Attendees viewed the latest in trends, products and technology and saw what is on the horizon for home building, landscaping, and decorating. As always, the builders pulled out all the stops in their designs, showcasing some wow-worthy features.
Home #1: Claman Custom Homes
This stunning ranch home was a show favorite and is a European Tudor, with 2,655 square feet on the main level and 1,970 square feet finished on the lower level. The primary bedroom and a second bedroom are located on the first floor and two additional bedrooms are in the lower level. The primary suite features custom built-in closets, access to the covered deck and a beautiful spa-like wet room. The spacious kitchen includes a large island and a well-designed walk-through pantry. A home office is also available. The lower level is an entertainer’s dream with a full bar area, wine room, golf simulator and accordion patio doors to bring the outside in.

Home #2: Accurate Development Inc
Designed to give the feel of a coastal retreat, this bright and airy five-bedroom, 1½ story has all the amenities.
