Late Night with DMAAR
47th Annual DMAAR Banquet
The Des Moines Area Association of Realtors® (DMAAR) held their 47th Annual Banquet on Friday evening, January 27, at the Prairie Meadows Convention Center in Altoona.
“It’s always a really fun event,” says DMAAR Executive Officer Cindy Pelz. “We recognize accomplishments of the association and the members, and just have a fun night celebrating the year in review.”
This year’s event continued the ongoing theme of Late Night with DMAAR, hosted by Jimmy Fallon (as portrayed by Century 21’s Kyle Clarkson). The Donald made a special appearance to help boost ratings, thanks to a performance by Lance Hanson of ReMax Real Estate Concepts.
Special guests included the following:
- Justin Timberlake (Iowa Realty’s Brennan Buckley) announced the year’s 20 new major RPAC investors.
- Gwen Stefani (Megan Hill Mitchum of Century 21) and Blake Shelton (Colin Panzi from ReMax Real Estate Concepts) presented the Unit Award winners.
- Tina Fey (Amanda Nagle of Century 21) and Amy Poehler (Sarah Hopkins of ReMax Real Estate Concepts) presented the Volume Winners.
- In addition, Todd and Rick Madden, speaking via video link, announced the Realtor® of the Year award, which recognized Rick Wanamaker of Iowa Realty.
John Dunn chose to present the President’s Special Recognition Award to Executive Officer Cindy Pelz for her guidance, support, and friendship throughout the year. He cited her hard work and long hours dedicated to Rebuilding Together and raising funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa.
